Disney Christmas Movies You’ll Love

The holiday season is fast approaching and you know what that means… Christmas movies of course! There are many Disney Christmas movies celebrating the season that the whole family can sit down together and enjoy. So let’s talk about some of the best Disney Christmas movies out there!

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas was released in 1999 as a straight to video Christmas compilation. This animated film features Mickey and his friends telling three different Christmas stories including A Very Goofy Christmas, Donald Duck: Stuck on Christmas, and Mickey and Minnie’s Gift of the Magi. This movie is a Disney Christmas classic!

Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas

Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas is another straight to video Christmas film released in 2004. This film features five short stories including Belles on Ice, Christmas: Impossible, Christmas Maximus, Donald’s Gift, and Mickey’s Dog-Gone Christmas. Another Disney holiday classic featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy Duck along with Dewey, Huey, and Louie, and Goofy and his son Max. 

The Santa Clause

Disney’s 1994 Christmas release The Santa Clause is now a must-see film each Christmas season. Featuring Tim Allan (Home Improvement) as Scott Calvin, a regular guy, who accidentally causes Santa Clause to fall from his roof when his young son Charlie hears a noise outside on Christmas Eve. Scott puts on the Santa suit and along with Charlie delivers the rest of the toys, saving Christmas for children around the world. Scott then has one year to get his affairs in order so that he can become Santa Claus permanently. This is a fun, family-friendly Disney holiday film that everyone will enjoy. Disney has also released The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3 as sequels. 

I’ll Be Home For Christmas

Jake, a private school student, who hasn’t been home for Christmas since his mother died and his father remarried has until 6:00 pm Christmas Eve to travel across the country and claim his dad’s vintage Porsche. Thrown off the bus he was traveling on by some bullies who left him in the middle of the desert in a Santa suit with no identification or money he faces a series of challenges on his journey home and learns the true meaning of Christmas along the way. 

Beauty and the Beast One Enchanted Christmas

If you have a beauty and the Beast fan in the house you won’t want to miss Beauty and the Beast One Enchanted Christmas. Set before the Beast and Belle fall in love and the spell is broken while Belle is being held captive she tries to bring some Christmas cheer and joy to the castle. Belle eventually wins the Beast over and they all celebrate the holiday together, but not without a few mishaps of course. 


This Disney Christmas movie features Anna Kendrick as Noelle and Bill Hader as Nick Kringle as Santa’s grown children. The movie follows Noelle and her hilarious misadventures as she tries to find her brother Nick, who has run off just before taking over Santa’s Christmas duties. This movie is sure to put everyone in the holiday spirit. 

These are far from all of Disney’s Christmas movies, but they are some of Disney’s most popular and well known Christmas movies. If you have a Disney Plus subscription there are a lot more holiday movies to choose from.

In addition to movies that Disney produced there are also some other Christmas classics like the Home Alone series, Miracle on 34th Street, and some ABC Family Christmas movies.
