Mickey Mouse Waffles

One of the most popular breakfasts on property at both Disneyland in Anaheim and Disney World in Orlando is without a doubt the Mickey Mouse waffles. So it only makes sense that making the delicious Disney breakfast at home would add a touch of magic to your day.

What Disney fan wouldn’t want their breakfast to look like your favorite Disney character? The secret of getting the perfect waffle design is in the Mickey waffle maker. There are currently two different versions that you can purchase depending on which design you prefer.

Mickey Waffle Maker

The Mickey Mouse Waffle Maker I use most is this one. It’s the perfect Mickey shape and the price is right at $40. There’s also a mini Mickey waffle maker that does three small Mickey waffles at a time but it tends to be harder to find.

The waffle maker that is used with this recipe makes Mickey Mouse waffles that look like Epcot’s Spaceship Earth with ears. It’s a fun shape and is a favorite of my son’s.

No matter which Mickey waffle maker you choose, Disney fans of all ages will love this special Disney breakfast!

Mickey Waffle Mix

While Disney Parks use this malted milk pancake mix, we’re going to make a flavorful, homemade pumpkin waffle recipe. If you’re in a hurry to make waffles on a busy week morning, you can always use the mix, but trust me making homemade waffles is worth the extra few minutes if you have them.

Can I Freeze Mickey Waffles?

Yes, you can freeze Mickey Mouse waffles. Just be sure to place them on a baking sheet in the freezer first until they are solid. Once frozen, you can place them in a Ziploc bag for storage and they will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months. To reheat, pop them in the toaster or toaster oven until they are heated through.

No Disney breakfast is complete without Mickey waffles, so add a piping hot mug of Joffery Coffee with whipped topping and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for the perfect Disney World breakfast. Give the them a try today and bring some Disney magic to your home this morning!
