Mickey Snack Mix Recipe

Smiles are ultimate #momgoal and this quick and easy-to-make recipe is sure to deliver. Grab your measuring cups and let’s make some Mickey Snack Mix!

One thing I love about spending time in the kitchen with my kids is the chance to work on learning kitchen skills while having fun. Below I’ve included a few ideas to teach little ones about cooking and recipes while making this yummy Disney themed snack.

Mickey Snack Mix by The Everyday Mouse

Older Preschoolers

Preschool is a great age to start involving younger kids in the kitchen. A step-stool, a cute apron, and plenty of hand soap are also great ideas for this age.

Counting, colors, measuring, and kitchen safety are all great topics for learning for the older preschool-age child. And preschool chefs are sure to have fun shaking the bag to coat the snack mix. Time to practice your best Mickey Mouse Clubhouse dance skills!

School-age Kids

Kindergarten through fifth grade is a great time to get the kids involved in making dinner, following a recipe, and learning how to clean up. These skills are so helpful when kids grow up. As kids this age learn to do things like making treats for themselves, their confidence grows-and that’s a great thing.

Teenagers

If your teen is older and hasn’t learned their way around the kitchen yet, a fun snack recipe is a great way to teach the kitchen skills. It’s important that they are able to help in the kitchen and learn the skills they need after they move out. Time in the kitchen is also a great time to connect and catch up on the day. Great conversations happen in our kitchen!
